First Nations Bedtime Stories

THE CHALLENGE

Common Ground approached March One to help them launch their first ever public fundraising challenge. The campaign needed to engage the public, educate them about Common Ground as an organisation, and also share the stories of First Nations Peoples with Australians from all walks of life.

THE SOLUTION

The First Nations Bedtime Stories Challenge gathered schoolkids, teachers, parents and the community for a week of storytelling. March One engineered a partnership between Canon and March One, not only providing funds to create a huge launch for the organisation’s first ever Challenge, but also making sure the First Nations stories collected were brought to life with state-of-the-art equipment.

IMPACT

The inaugural First Nations Bedtime Stories Challenge was a huge success,
receiving widespread community support, and also generated many earned media stories.

The overall impact on people who participated in the Challenge or engaged with
in other ways, is exceedingly positive. Feedback from social media, direct email, a
post campaign survey and other means have all demonstrated firstly that there is a
high demand for First Nations culture and educational materials in the community.

And secondly, that the campaign has been highly effective in achieving the
outcomes.
